Acting as the Data Controller under the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (“KVKK”), our company processes the personal data you share with us through our website (www.blueferrytravel.com) and our communication channels in accordance with the legislation.

2. Personal Data Processed

Within the scope of ferry ticket reservation requests, on-arrival visa consultancy, and tour and hotel reservation processes, only the following data necessary for these purposes is processed:

• Identity Information: First and last name, Turkish Identity Number, Passport Number, Passport Validity Date, Date of Birth, Gender, Nationality.
• Contact Information: Phone number, WhatsApp contact information, e-mail address, residential address.
• Travel and Customer Transaction Information: Ferry route and date preferences, departure/arrival ports, tour and accommodation preferences, reservation request history.
• Financial Transaction Information: Bank transfer/EFT payment receipt information, invoice information. (Credit card data is not held or stored in our systems).
• Transaction Security and Digital Data: IP address, website access log records, cookie preferences. (Our website does not have any mobile application).

3. Purposes and Legal Grounds for Processing Personal Data

Your data is processed for the following purposes, based on the legal grounds of “establishment and performance of a contract,” “fulfillment of legal obligations,” and “explicit consent of the data subject” specified in Articles 5 and 6 of the KVKK:

• Receiving and processing ferry ticket reservation requests for the Greek Islands,
• Preparing documents for the Greece On-Arrival Visa and Schengen visa applications and conducting consultancy processes,
• Organizing hotel reservations, island tours, and transfer services,
• Conducting customer communication processes via our WhatsApp and telephone lines,
• Completing official invoicing and financial/accounting transactions,
• Fulfilling information retention and reporting obligations arising from legislation.

4. Domestic and International Transfer of Personal Data

To ensure your travel operations are completed without interruption, your personal data is transferred to the following parties and authorities where mandatory:

A) Domestic Recipient Group

• To the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Culture and Tourism, TÜRSAB, Port Authorities, the General Directorate of Security, and relevant judicial/administrative authorities, as required by our legal obligations,
• To our business partners from whom we receive financial and legal advice, and to certified public accountants.

B) International Transfer (Greek Authorities and Service Providers)

• Greek Authorities and Ticket Companies: For the purpose of issuing ferry tickets and completing on-arrival visa procedures, your name, surname, passport and identity information are transferred to the relevant Greek Consulates, Greek Border/Port Security Authorities, and contracted ferry operators (Tilos, Dentur, İDO, Turyol, etc.).
• Digital Service Providers: To provide analytics, security and access infrastructure for our website, limited and anonymous digital usage data may be transferred to infrastructure providers with servers located abroad (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Meta/Facebook Pixel).

5. Retention Periods of Personal Data

Your personal data is retained for the periods required by the purpose of processing and the statutory limitation periods foreseen in legislation:

Upon expiry of the retention periods or when the purpose of processing no longer exists, your data is securely destroyed or anonymized.

6. Rights of the Data Subject (KVKK Article 11)

As a data subject, under Article 11 of the KVKK, you may apply to our company to exercise the following rights:

• To learn whether your personal data is being processed,
• To request information if your personal data has been processed,
• To learn the purpose of processing personal data and whether it is used in accordance with its purpose,
• To know the third parties to whom personal data is transferred domestically or abroad,
• To request correction of personal data if it is incomplete or inaccurately processed,
• To request deletion or destruction of personal data within the conditions set out in Article 7 of the KVKK,
• To request that correction, deletion and destruction operations be notified to third parties to whom personal data has been transferred,
• To object to a result against you arising from the analysis of processed data exclusively through automated systems,
• To claim compensation for damages suffered due to unlawful processing of personal data.
